Not really sure on the re-gen parameters that have to be met on this before auto regeneration occurs.
And I'm not sure what help I can be anyway.
There's a lot on the web about failed DPF's
and my own personal experience is failure is caused by oil contamination.
Contamination is usually caused by combustion gasses getting in contact with the oil.
That's what makes it black.
oil itself doesn't breakdown as commonly believed,
only gets contaminated.
From memory your engine has external injectors,
I'll check at work on Monday,
So I'm left with the conclusion that combustion blow past the rings is doing the nasty.
So your root cause is the low compression and blow past on the rings/bore.
as to what caused this and when it happened?
My only suggestion is try a website called "honest John"
and follow the prompts.
They can be more inclined to the legal stuff.
