Mitsubishi L200 diesel tank over flows when 3 parts full

Car: Mitsubishi L200
Variant: 2.5td
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Over the last couple of weeks when i fill up with diesel i can only fill it 3 parts full then it just bubbles up the neck! I thought it might of been a bad fuel sender so i emptied the tank and refilled it but it only let me put 65-75 quids worth in. And the fuel gauge stops at 3 parts full even when the ignition is turned off it still sits there, until i use some fuel then it drops as normal. Any advise would be great many thanks..

Sounds like a faulty tank unit / sender .Could also check tank is venting correctly .

Sounds like tank imploding

Possible that anti-siphone device has come loose from the filler neck and is fowling your sensor or partially blocking tank filler neck, strip off filler neck to check this.
