Mitsubishi L200 engine managment light stays on till the engine has warmed

Car: Mitsubishi L200
Variant: 2.4 diesel (turbo inter cooler ) manual
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When cold the engine starts fine, revs high for a few seconds then idles and engine managment light comes on. Engine will not rev very high on throttle and lots of exhaust smoke( white). Once temp. gauge reaches half way, switch off , restart and runs fine with no problems and no smoke. I have changed MAP sensor and boost sensor. No codes register after problem has occurred .
