Mitsubishi L200 steering judder

Hi , my motor has just started having a bad steering judder when I start up, stationery, I can turn the steering wheel left and right , on full lock it sounds like metal to metal sound, has I bring steering wheel back to centralise the steering wheel judders like mad, its like having a real bad case of wheels out of balance, but this is stationary, I do have a squeal on belts for a mile then peters out, wether linked ?? ... any idea's

It could be down to the belt. Get it changed or tightened and see how it is.

Power steering is belt driven so may well be a slack belt or low on oil, but as you mention a metalic noise check the bottom pulley as i suspect it may have failed

Thank you so much, the oil in slave cylinder was way low, I also tightened all 3 belts, the steering corrected and the squealing stopped, I also felt the car was pulling and performing better, I will have to change the twin belts soon as the castillian ridges on the underside are missing/tornaway in parts. again, appreciate your help. Col
