Mitsubishi L200 just replaced engine, can;t stop it smoking

Hi, we have just replaced and engine on a L200, we fitted a new fuel pump, timimg has been checked a million times,new injector, even tested them, we can advince the pump which reduces the smoke but it is still not right, i'm at a loss, can anybody help with any idears.

First thing you need to check, (depending on the marks you use) that the bottom pulley marks are correct in other words the damper on the pulley hasnt started to turn altering the timing mark.
assuming you new the condition of the engine you bought was in good order

Thank you for your help, we got the engine from milner in, they have been very help full, the bottom pulley is solid metal, it all lines up with the timing, but still have the smoking problem ?? milner suggested posting the question on the net !!

are you 100% its not got the rubber damped bottom pulley it should be on this year.
what colour smoke is it, how does it start hot/cold how does it run power etc, are there any fault codes listed

L200 starts and runs, thick grey smoke from engine, if we move the fuel pump smoke lessons, I have orderd a bottom pulley, with rubber insert, I can only think this is putting the timimg out abit, no fault codes !! have you any other idears, thanks for you help
