Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My Mitsubishi FTO MIVEC (auto) refuses to start at times. All the symptoms are of a flat battery where the engine does not turn over.
The battery shows 12 volts before start and drops when the ignition is turned to start. So there is a load on it.
On turning to start there is a click as the solenoid engages but the starter isn't turning even though a load is put on the battery.
The car has will start eventually as normal but it may take two or maybe a dozen attempts.
The battery has been replaced as has the starter motor with solenoid. All the earths have been checked.
A second battery in parallel doesn't help either.
I am getting so frustrated.... HELP

If the engine doesn't turn over , check auto gearbox inhibitor switch or try moving gear selector .If turning slow , you need to get an auto electrician to load test battery and starter motor .( even though you have replaced both battery and starter )
