Gpf lifht came on dash, tried ragging down m1 x3,nothing changed,phoned dealership as still in warranty, not covered,the took it in charged me £99, light out now,if comes back anytime soon the cars gone....told me it's my short journey regime & too run till temp at norm,then get to 2.5/ 3 k revs at over 50 then come off acceleration a few times?

If you are not running the car enough or short journeys it does cause problems , especially on vehicles with DPF s. A blast down the motorway every so often helps to clear the cobwebs

Not DPF! it's gpf(petrol) that's why I never bought a diesel

Cheers, gasoline particulate filter(petrol) same as a dpf but petrol version & not much info about really

Had the same issue on my 2018 eclipse cross. Happened last year, got it cleared by dealer free. just happened again. £100 to the dealer this time. Told me short journeys are no good for the car. I'm doing 15mile round commute. Dodged diesel because of the short journeys...now petrol is the same. Car is getting sold and off to pollute the planet with a pre 2018 car.
