Mitsubishi Colt after useing car get back init later on starts up but when you put into drive or revese wont move at all sames as thow brakes are on

after driving come back to drive starts up but when you put into or revers wont move forward or back words after rebooted it seams fine but there must be a problem with it

you can reboot the car by takeing battery leads off put them together for 10 seconds then put them back on the battery and start the car should have rebooted it but I need to no why it dose it in the first place

Try getting the transmission fluid changed .
