Mitsubishi Carisma starting problem

I have starting problem for the first few minutes. The engine gets off automatically. If i drove for approx 500 yards its running normally. If i parked the car for approx more than 2 hrs againg the problem started.

Sounds like faulty engine management coolant temperature sensor .
