Lights on at start up in bright sunlight.
I have to switch them off manually and then if continually driving into dusk the lights do not come on automatically.

Are you referring to the daylight running lights which are on all the time or what ? If not , check light sensor for automatic is not covered /obscured or faulty . Have been other reports of same fault , check with dealership if any solution or possible software update to fix

I have head lights on and daytime driving lights on from start up.
I have to turn them off on steering stick.
windscreen is perfectly clean with nothing covering it(shadow etc.
