MG ZS passenger door will not open from the inside

Model Year: 2021
Yes, front seat passenger door and back seat doors will not open. So I the driver have to walk round and open it. Does the car need to be switched off for my passengers to open their doors? It's very frustrating or am I missing a trick?

Just had a courtesy car MG ZS (2023) dropped off and same issue as above i.e passenger door won't open from inside. Reported to hire company and they advised it's a known manufacturer problem. In my opinion this is potentially dangerous if passenger can't get out in an accident. New courtesy car being delivered.

Well known fault now and many failures
i.e
" I had the same issue with the front and rear near side locks. In both cases Mg replaced the actuators under warranty and this fixed the issue, this is a known issue across certainly the ZS and hs vehicles. The garage said they are replacing these all the time,"
