Mercedes Benz C Class "run flat indicator inoperative"

Car: Mercedes Benz C Class
Variant: C250
Model Year: 2013
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Whilst driving today I got this error message on my dashboard "Run flat indicator inoperative." This turned the traction control off, ABS off and stopped the cruise control from working. After parking the car, leaving it for a while I then drove 90 miles - without any error messages, but the same message popped up again. It's clearly inconsistent so I am wondering if there could be a loose connection or failing sensor. Would it be a problem to get that sensor turned off? (I guess this would be cheaper than replacing a sensor).

Thanks

You need to get it scanned for fault codes to see what is triggering the message . I have had a few cars in where a faulty tyre sensor would trip the warning light when driven on the motorway at speed for a while . I doubt if any garage would turn this off ( if possible ) as it could leave them liable for disconnecting a safety feature .

Hi, I have the same issue of "Run flat indicator inoperative" for MB C250 now. Btw how did u fix it? Is it the problem with the ABS sensor?
