Mercedes Benz C Class boot door indicator problem

Car: Mercedes Benz C Class
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I have an Estate version of Mercedes C 220. The boot door indicator (on dashboard) shows that it is not locked. I have looked around the whole door and the lock and can see no problem. There is nothing to inhibit closure. The door, when closed, feels as though it is fully closed. I cannot find any contact switch to investigage. Can anyone help please?

Usually the first place I check/look is the rubber bellows that covers the wiring harness from the body to the door.

The open / close micro switch is in the lock and sometimes spraying with switch cleaner can cure , otherwise new lock may be needed .
