Mercedes Benz C Class starting in the mornings cold

Car: Mercedes Benz C Class
Variant: auto diesal c220 cdi
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Find it difficult to start in the mornings..
Cranking a long time- Battery is good- Fuel half a tank 0f Diesel. Oil level perfect.
Glow plug light stays on when finally starts.
It goes off after a 1 mile drive.
This Morning started with a difficulty the malfunction signal said EPC Electrical power control and visit work shop.
However when the engine was re started dash board said NO MALFUNCTION.
The car stars and runs perfectly once engine is warmed up.

One person said- It is the RELAY from the Glow Plugs.
The local Garage said possibly The Module is at fault after the relay. He said an electrician should look at it for sure to see if it can be repaired.
If any help. would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks in anticipation..
