Mercedes Benz A Class car will not start

Hi

I brough an a160 a couple of weeks ago and it had a minor problem of cut outonce and i will , i had a check done and it came up with crank shaft censor {p0600} so i changed that and now the will not start, it wants to start but it just keeps firing.

you need a crank reading for the car to start check youve fitted it correctly,pins in plug not pushed back if not refit old one and retryb

the pins are ok and the old one is in pieces but the funny thing is ,if you move the crank senor when the car is been turn over it some times start mad ah ,but with the senor screwed to gear box it will not start ..

is the hole the sensor is attached to the engine with a slot.some of our cars need the air gap set simple case or using feeler gauges.dont know about mercs hope this helpsb

Is there a little locating pin on sensor and is it locating in hole when being fitted,if so you say that if you move sensor around it starts it may just be a faulty sensor this does happen although you would think it wouldnt but if it started before and all you have done has changed the sensor it must be that
