Is the prop vibrating because it is unbalanced/damaged/mis-aligned?

Maybe where the grease cap fits - the bearing is worn, or the cap itself, I doubt you could buy a new cover separatley.
A prop specialist may be able to sell you spares for it though.

hi craig
if this part is coming adrift as you say by viabration, then clearly your prop is now un-balanced, probably through ( i can guess 3 reasons ) firstly as phil suggested, it's become damaged somehow, in which case as phil said, put in the hands of prop balance specialists. secondly, the centre bearing could itself be breaking up. finally the u/j's may be siezing/breaking up. the latter two most garages can deal with, or even your good self ( if you've mechanical knowledge & necessary tools ). let me know how you get on. regards dj dave.

THERE IS A RING AROUND THE VISCOUS COUPLING WHICH CAN BREAK AWAY SOME MODELS WERE MADE WITHOUT THEM, THEY ARE THERE TO DAMPEN ANY MINOR VIBRATION SOME PEOPLE USE SILICONE TO SECURE THEM BUT YOU CAN NOW BUY THAT BIT FROM PLACES LIKE LANDRANGER SERVICES.
