I have had this problem a few times on TD4s, there are 3 fuel pumps on this car, one in the tank, one under the bonnet on the nearside chassis leg and the injection pump, usually it is the one in the tank that is the guilty party but i have had the second pump causing a problem the odd time. This needs to be checked by a garage and you need to have the time to leave it with them for maybe a couple of days as it is an intermitant fault.
