Land Rover Freelander freelander rear noise

Car: Land Rover Freelander
Variant: 1.8S Hardback
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi everybody,

My daughter has a Freelander 1.8S Hardback 2001 Mdl yr. With righthand down there is a knocking noise coming from the rear of the car on tight corners/islands. Any Ideas please.

You should check the rear subframe mounts and these can crack, and you get banging / creaking noise especially on tight turns.

Hi, thanks Stonks,

Don't know a lot about Freelanders, is it the subframe that would need to be replaced or bushes within the subframe mounting?
