Land Rover Freelander clutch pedal

Car: Land Rover Freelander
Variant: 2.0D HSE 5 door
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
When I push down the clutch pedal and change gear, it is not retracting properly and stays about half way down. When I use it again it touches the floor and retracts even less. After a few gear changes it does not travel back at all and I cannot change gear again. I have to pull it back with each gear change to use the car.

check spring on the end of pedal that retracts it back to normal position, it might be weak and needs replacing
