Land Rover Freelander oil leakage??

Have found oil/ grease sprayed in the area above the front end of the propshaft . No visable sign as to where it has come from. No signs of a leak where the prop joins to engine. Though small gaiter at front is oily too. Where could leak be ?

only way is to ramp the car up and look very carefully underneath.
