On cold mornings it I put on a hard lock my front wheels slightly jump and make a crunching noise. After a while it drives fine.
There is no unusual wear on the tyres

Is it perhaps the power steering ? and does it not stop if you ease back ever so slightly on full lock ?

It's a strange one , if there was a fault you would think it would get worse as it warmed up , not vice - versa . Dont know if doing a diagnostic scan would reveal anything . I would call your Jag dealership and ask if this was a known " fault " and to check if there was possibly a software update appertaining to this

Thanks very much for that and I’ll check with the dealership
