Hyundai ix35 defective start/stop button

Car: Hyundai ix35
Variant: 1.7 CDRI 2WD Premium
Model Year: 2010
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Bought the car December 2010 from UK dealer. Within a month of owning it the Start/Stop button became defective. Car was a no go. RAC could not fix it so had to be recovered and returned to Hyundai. Hyundai took 10 days to fix and diagnosed the problem as a defective start/stop switch (ignition). Car was totally immobilized during the time and even trying to bypass the immobilizer docking the fob into it dock (under arm rest) it did nothing. Not great nor was the after-sale care.
