Hyundai i20 clutch gone

anyone had problems with hyundai clutches? I bought brand new hyundai i20 march 2011 done 3459 miles and the clutch has gone, garage says its down to me, wear and tear, and doesnt come under the warranty, been driving for 40 years and never had problems with clutches, going to fight them all the way, have to otherwise according to their reasoning I will need a new clutch every year!!!

I would go straight to customer services. How can it be wear and tear when the car has only done 3459 miles...

Hi, see my post re clutch issues on i30...i've contacted Hyundai UK Customer Service Dept and got nowhere. Now awaiting independant report from company recommended by the AA...DEKRA-Experts - costly though...at £195. Will let you know how we get on.
