Honda Accord stalling

Car: Honda Accord
Variant: 1.8 SE Auto
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi.
Recently my Hoon-da has gained an issue. Sometimes when it starts it revs then dies and will do it several times before it starts properly. It also cuts out when driving, then I have the same aforementioned issue.
A friend has suggested a loose earth cable, forums have suggested everything ranging from immobiliser faults to ignition barrel defects.
I need this problem fixing or I'm going to shift what was once a very good car, (I'm second owner and it's done just over 40,000 genuine miles with full history and an expensive gearbox rebuild) for a stupid price. Then I'm left with no car 😪
Please someone help!

Best bet would be to run a DTC (Diagnostical Trouble Code) test to see what codes are shown rather than guess .

this can possible be the reason why the previous owner sold the car on. Ive seen a couple of honda's with corrupt/faulty ECU's,doing the exact same thing but you will need a scan to be sure. could be something as silly as TPS/ maybe also possible theres more than 1 fault happening
