For some time, there has been a loud static sound from the speakers before the radio cutting out. On restarting the car, all reset and ok. However recently, another loud static sound then radio hasn't worked since. Display states 'no audio'. Apart from having no music this also means no Bluetooth or parking sensors. It's a Ford 6000 cd unit

Could be a faulty head unit / software fault but could try this reset procedure if you wish
there is a quick diagnostic test that you can perform to see if this software problem applies to you:
Turn your Ignition to the first "Accessory" Position (Dash Lights On)
Turn the radio OFF
Press and Hold presets "3" and "6" and whilst holding them
Turn the Radio ON
Release the Buttons
Depending on the exact model that you have, the Radio might now be performing a system diagnostic self test and will be producing some audio through the speakers in the form of high and low test tones. If it does, and you can hear them, then you probably have the common software fault
