Ford Mondeo cruise control

Car: Ford Mondeo
Variant: 2.0 Ghia
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Recently bought this beautiful car but it hasnt come without its difficulites. Cruise control will operate in 3 gear only -touch brake or clutch and it knocks out. I cannot get it to activate in 4/5 or 6th. Took it to the ford garage but they were unable to diagnose without booking it in. I am hopeful that someone here maybe able to give us and idea of what could be wrong.

Thanks in advance.

The cruise control is designed to cut off if you touch either the clutch or brake pedal , that is normal .

the cruise control is meant to cut out when clutch or brake pedal pressed or you would never be able to stop the car,the cruise control normally cuts in over 30mph so in 3rd gear seems right, your cruise control is working perfectly fine
