Ford Mondeo dual mass flywheel on its way out???

Car: Ford Mondeo
Variant: 2.O TDCI 115 BhP
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi, The other day I had noticed a squeaking noise when the car was at idle and last night I noticed that the noise comes when I depress the clutch and at biting point. The gears feel fine and the clutch is still very light, however, on a few occasions there has also been an intermitting rattle. It seems a lot louder than the bottom pulley tensioner had ever been before and I can actually feel the vibration through the footwell. I had the car up for a full service and new pads all round the other day and thought this may have been due to excess brake fluid dripping onto one of the belts, however two days later the noise is still there.

Does this sound like the flywheel is on its way out or something else..Any feedback kwill be much appreciated.

sounds favorite. you should be able to feel the flywheel roteting by just resting tyour foot lightly on the clutch pedal. if you can feel any roughness, then flywheel it is!!! have come across this a few times, not just fords... all newer VAG group stuff too. skoda mainly. hope this helps!!!
