Ford Mondeo stuttering/lumpy

Car: Ford Mondeo
Variant: 2 litre tdci ghia x disel
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When travelling at around 30/40 mph car seems to stutter as if lack of fuel or fuel blockage. If i accelerate or drop a gear car seem to run ok, although i do have a small amount of black smoke from exhaust but this clears within seconds.
Car idels ok and starts although sometime when i start up it ticks over but wont rev up.

The car was last serviced at 89000 miles just before I bought it in March with 91000 on clock. Mileage now is 99000 and I am just about to get it serviced. Will this cure the problem or is it more serious.
