If I am using the radio without the engine running after 5 mins it will chime and warn me about the battery. It will start with no problems , loads of life in the battery.
Another issue is if I don’t lock the car within about a min of getting out I get a error message (can’t remember the message, sorry) I have to put the ignition on ant off and then lock the car with the remote. This car has a push button start.
And the last thing is now and again the car will tell me there is a steering lock problem, if I disconnect the battery the fault goes. But if left overnight the screen on the dash will drain the battery.
Hope you can help, thanks in advance!!

Radio cutting off as you describe is normal , may vary in time from 5 to 10 mins on different cars . How do you know battery is o.k ? have you checked the voltage after lying overnight prior to starting ? Battery needs LOAD tested for weak / dud cells

It’s a brand new Bosch battery, the voltage can be about 12.5v when this happens. Alternator is ok, checked battery terminals and ground strap to body. I must admit I don’t do a huge amount of driving, about 50 miles a week. I did read about a reset procedure after changing the battery, involving turning on and off the headlamps and switching on and off the hazards but that didn’t do anything

If your battery is running down . needs checking for a parasitic drain but if screen on dash is always on that wont help , Some Fords had a timer relay that kept the dash on for about 10 mins that could stick but not sure with your model if it has it or not . 2007 was the year of change from MK 3 to MK 4 . I will post both fuse box links
