im having to pull my handbrake lever right up for it to engage properly, i changed the handbrake cable but has made virtually no difference, is there a way i can adjust this? I have read something about Recall/fix which involves metal spacers of some sort to shorten cable? Any info much appreciated

get in touch with the dealers to find out if there has been a recall on this problem and go from there

a couple of different cables for mondeo handbrake especially if its an estate. always worth double checking you were sold the correct length as difference in length is about 10mm only.
if calipers on rear check arms on caliper return fully to the stop position as often they stick in a half on half off position . this messes up the auto adjustment for the pads - result poor handbrake
