Ford Mondeo speedo intermittent problem

Car: Ford Mondeo
Variant: 1.8 edge
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
After driving for a few miles the speedo stops working and the LCD display just shows dashes, if I turn the ignition off and straight back on while still driving everything works again for a few miles then it all goes off again and I do the same and it all works again for a few miles, and just keeps doing the same.

They do suffer from cluster faults , but could be VSS (vehicle speed sensor ) / or wiring also
