Ford Mondeo judder when main beam is turned on??

Car: Ford Mondeo
Variant: 2.0 TDCi Ghia X Estate
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hello all. Had a recent problem with my vehicle where upon acceleration in mainly 4th and 5th gear, between 1850 and 2250 revs the car would judder terribly, and it just got worse and worse. Turned out to be a split in the pipe from the Turbo to the Engine. However, a niggling problem I've had since i bought the car (which is rather annoying) is that when i accelerate, and i want to turn on the main beam the car judders. Today for instance i wanted to let someone through and flashed the lights, dipping the clutch at the same time and the car stalled. Very confusing. Can anyone help??

Many Thanks,

Tino.

Hello. I have checked the battery and it says 68W or 70AH (if only i knew what that meant). Does this mean that the battery isnt powerful enough for the vehicle? Really is baffling me. Only happens when i accelerate and want to turn on the main beam, yet when i take my foot off the gas and turn on the main beam, its fine.

Thanks,

Tino.
