engine emoboliser activated cannnot start car.cannot find reset button in drivers side footwell.what can i do to disengage it and start the car.many thanks to you all

Hi Chris, Welcome to the site. Im not sure that there is a switch under the seat. The immobiliser is obviously installed to prevent thieves from hot-wiring your car. How come the vehicle is immobilised?! what happened?

I suspect you mean the fuel injection system shut-off switch has activated, Have you had a bump, or could somebody have hit the car while it was parked? The switch (actually a button) is on side panel near door. Have a closer look or see the owner's handbook.

Good one Woodley! I forgot all about the switch under the passenger seat. Dont you have to have a rather heavy shunt for this to be activated?!

Anyway....give it a go
