Ford Mondeo climate control, cruise control dead. fuses ok

Car: Ford Mondeo
Variant: 2.0 tdci (130) manual
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi everyone,
towing my caravan bake home the other day on cruise control when I had to brake. when I tried to resume my set speed the cruise control would not operate then I noticed that the climate control was dead. All symptoms point to fuses but I've checked them and they are fine!!!
I've even unplugged the heated washer jets to eliminate a burn out heating element but got no change.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
Andy

Hi again,
I tried plugging in my dtc reader and the only fault that showed was "brake light switch fault". I put two and two together (remember I was towing when the fault occurred) and I checked the brake light fuse. Hey presto! One blown 10A fuse. I replaced the fuse and everything is back to normal.
I spent ages looking at the wrong fuses because all references on the net point to the fuses under the bonnet for air conditioning. Cruise goes off because it doesn't know if you have your foot on the brake....... simples!
Thanks for looking, hope my post helps you with your car issues.
