My speedo not working had new speed sensor and second hand clock everything else work can anyone help as am at my wits end as don't know what else to change to sort this problem

Have heard a dodgy battery can cause speedo problems on that car and replacing with correct , fully charged battery has cured fault .Might seem strange but apparently works in some cases .
