just bought a mondeo i have given it a mini service i.e plugs air filter oil & filter change. now the tick over is erratic dropping from 800rpm to 600rpm every couple of seconds it;s done 141000 miles. i just have basic knowledge of car mecanics.

Hi phil, check that you haven`t disturbed any of the vacuum pipes and check for any tiny cracks.They are quite fragile.
If it was ok before you serviced it, back track and double check everything.

silly me i put new plugs in without checking the gap thanks for youre advise running like a dream now exept for blowing a bit of white smoke reckon its running rich. {i hope }
