Ford Mondeo dashboard and radio turned off

hi while driving home my radio turned itself off and the abs and battery light came on also the revs, speed and petrol dails all stopped working. The windscreen wipers were still on but were slower then usual and the front lights stayed on when i stopped the car the air bag light came on and when i turned the car off it wouldn't turn back on again anyone got any ideas please ???

Looks like alternator has failed and battery now flat . You will need to charge battery and get alternator tested / replaced if faulty .Could also test battery at same time , once charged .

i have just bought a 03 1.8 mondeo ,i got it home the next morning i started it up and the rev,speed,outside temp and digital millage plus front window demister were not working and frost warning and ignition lights were on after 5 mins driving every thing started working normally what could it be ?
