Ford Kuga massive electronic fault leave my kuga a scrap car

Car: Ford Kuga
Variant: 2.0 TITANIUM 4X4 DEISEL
Model Year: 2010
Hi I bought my Kuga 4x4 titanium diesel new in 2010. after never having a single problem except particle filter sensors. last week i parked the car and then when i went back to it later it was completely dead. there was no lights nothing the windows were stuck open the boot locked etc. the ford garage put a new battery on in and got it to start. however the windows were inoperative as was the wipers locks and a host of other things. then they told me that eventually it would not even restart. they say there is a major electronic fault and or short circuit and the cost of repairing could well outstrip the residual value about £6000. We are gob smacked. and are trying to find a way of contacting someone who is a specialist in ford electrics. We are living in France so it is chalemging but i cannot believe that if this is a intrinsic problem we should have to accept that it dead and loose the whole value of the car. Do Fords only live for 10 years I hope not. If you have any knowledge of these problems i would love to know.

Well worth getting a second opinion , possibly from an independent garage or an auto electrician . Fords usually last a lot longer than 10 yrs .
