Ford KA battery light stays on

Car: Ford KA
Variant: 1.3
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
In June 2008 my battery light came on, on my Ford KA. After investigation at 2 garages, I had a brand new alternator fitted and the problem was solved. 1 week later I hit a deer and following that another new alternator was fitted.

I returned from a weeks holiday on Wednesday, and started my car to which it started fine and set off on my way. I then stopped to get petrol and when i started again, the the car would not turn over it was trying and almost made a squealing sound. Not even the radio came on.... On my 3rd attempt it started and I went on to travel 300 miles stopping 3 times and starting first time fine. This morning again, I started my car and started to drive, about 20 seconds on, my battery light came on and has remained on for my journey.

My first thought is that its the Alternator again however, it just seems a bit weird...
