Ford KA tramlining

Car: Ford KA
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Having just put 2 new tyres on the front, the car is now tramlining when accelerating to higher speeds. Its gone back to the garage twice to have the tyres and the tracking checked - all are OK. A visual inspection underneath by several mechanics has not yielded any answers.

One of the mechanics did mention he'd seen this once before on a different model, and it was due to the gearbox.

Any ideas would be appreciated, as I don't want to change the gearbox if its not necessary?

Many thanks.

sounds like your mechanic is feeding you a load of bull, you say you have had tracking checked, have you had a full steering geometry check done?this will highlight any problems with steering and suspension readings that you would`nt be able to see visually
