Ford KA indicator/brake light issue

Car: Ford KA
Variant: KA2 1.3
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
The right rear indicators and brake lights appear to be interfering with each other. When you indicate right, it appears that the indicators are working Ok. When I have a look outside the car, the brake light flashes intermitantly as though there is a crossed wire...

Any ideas?
