Ford KA door locks operating at random and windows going up and down

Car: Ford KA
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
My partner has a ford ka she brought it second hand. She just drive it the length of NZ 800 or so km when she arrived at her place she was unable to unlock the for for over an hour. Once in via the passenger door the door locks continued to lock and unlock along with the windows. She is till unable to unlock the drivers door.
I'm not there so only know what she has told me
Any ideas would be great
Cheers

Try taking the battery out and mechanically opening the door.
And if it opens check the wiring inside the convoluted rubber covering from the inner door hinge to the body.
But the locks and windows are basically controlled via a computer so getting the body module scanned would help.

Strip down drivers side door trim , check and free off linkage , actuator and micro switch in lock assembly with WD40 or equivalent .
