Ford KA steering noise

Car: Ford KA
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi, Recently I have noticed a whirring noise when the steering wheel is turned when I am slowing down. There is no problem with the brakes and no problem with the steering appart from the annoying noise! I read somewhere about applying grease to pins after removing the steering wheel. Please can you someone tell me if this works and how to remove the steering wheel to try this. Thanks

usually the whirring noise is due to the power steering pump, either worn and noisy or fluid down
