Ford Galaxy engine stalling

Hi ,we have a Ford Galaxy which started dying when driving,then after a few minutes will start again.Garage changed the crankshaft sensor and starter motor but problem still there.Second garage thought it was because 1st garage had put fuel filter on wrong way but changed this and problem still there.This is getting very expensive!!and we're supposed to be going away on Friday.No warning lights when it happens only engine sign.It happenes at any time ,any speed.It's not difficult to start after it has rested(after breaking down)sometimes it will be silent when you turn the key and then just kick up from nowhere,odd!.Help!

You dont say what engine in car ? petrol or diesel ?

If engine is stalling , check idle control valve and also check all vacuum hoses for splits and perishing .Check wiring / connection at starter motor and earth cable from engine to body .
