Ford Galaxy ignition not working

Car: Ford Galaxy
Variant: 2.0
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
approx 1 month ago car wouldn't start, called out RAC who diagnosed igniton prob( NO DETAILS) and told us to jiggle the key in the ignition to get it to work. Car worked fine for couple of weeks, then same problem. Took to ford garage who couldn't find anything wrong because car started first time every time they tried! Then today it's not starting again. I can't find a local auto electrician and don't want to go back to Ford for a bill with no solution!

From what RAC suggested , sounds like faulty ignition switch .

due to design of ford keys and locks it is very common problem for them to wear prematurely, sometimes a squirt of wd40 into the barrell can help for a short time but you will eventually need to get the ignition barell or key replaced
