Ford Galaxy car wont start and cant change into any gear

i cant seem to change into gear and the car wont start at all if i turn of the ignition
i can change gear no problem im not sure if the sensor or something come loose. thanks

does the car change gear or not as your post says 2 different things,check the gear selector cable adjustment and the brake pedal switch,also check connection on gearstick

Confusing post , need more info .Do you have two fault i.e (1)car wont start
(2)can't get gears
