Ford Galaxy lights won't switch off after shutdown

Car: Ford Galaxy
Variant: 1.8 TDI

Lights randomly come on after car parked and locked. Flattens the battery.
Plonkers at Ford say it needs new wiring harness plus, plus, plus.

Not in position to argue with Ford but possibly faulty BCM ?

Thanks Whittinghame - is BCM (Body Control Module?) the same thing as a GEM Module ( Generic Electronic Module)? My thinking is that they might be the same thing and I also feel that this could be the source of the problems we are having.
