Ford Galaxy car alarm initiates, for no apparent reason, hours after locking up car.

Car alarm keeps going off sparodicaly after locking up car. Can be hours after locking up. Not consistent. Having to disconnect battery to prevent initiation and annoying neighbours.,

Best to get diagnostic ,will show the cause,basic things would be check locks in case ones sticking

There were quite a few problems on the earlier Galaxies . Try disconnecting the bonnet switch and also check the wiring harness on top of tailgate where it passes through for damaged / broken wiring .

Try pressing the lock button on the remote twice in succession (within 2 /3 secs ) and this will disable internal motion sensors in case this is causing the alarm to activate . Works with some cars.
