Ford Galaxy parking lights coming on

The nearside parking lights turn themselves on when it's parked. It's done it when the car is locked and unlocked.

Have you asked Ford?
reason I'm asking is some years ago I had a VW In with a very similar fault,
as it turned out German law states that side light must be on when parked on an unlit road.
and the trick was you left the indicator stalk switch on for whatever side light you wanted to stay on when you turned off the key.
And of course my customer always indicated in to park then just switched off the engine.
Calling VW resolved the issue.
Might just be the same function on you car?
