Oil leak from auto sump gasket is it hard job cars been losing power and backfiring

seems you have 2 problems misfire could be plugs /leads or coil i would advise a diagnostic check are you sure it is transmission fluid leaking and not engine oil running down say from the crank angle sensor mounted on engine block this sensor can also cause running problems . if box is leaking i would advise the work is done by auto box specialist as fluid level is critical for correct g/box operation
